Does the Handheld need to be on the Analyzer when I run the test?

Yes, the Handheld must be placed into the cradle of the Analyzer in order to run either QC or Patient tests.
The Handheld will prompt when to place the Handheld into the Analyzer's cradle.
Note that when the Handheld prompts for User ID, Patient ID, and Cartridge information, the Handheld need not to placed on the Analyzer for those steps.

After you press the "START TEST" button on the Handheld, you must wait over 60 seconds to allow the Analyzer to prepare for the test. When prompted, insert the ETC into the Analyzer. Be sure not to lift the Handheld until the test is completed.
What happens if I use the wrong Cartridge for the test?
The Analyzer will eject the Cartridge. You should re-run the test using the correct Cartridge that corresponds with the test being run.
